The Mad Girl's Laugh is an image created by Nigel Wingrove in 2025 as part of a promotional campaign for RedemptionTV.net, accompanying a season of films exploring insanity, madness and psychological disturbance.

A dishevelled young woman crouches on the floor of a dark institutional room, caught in a moment of wild, uncontrolled laughter. Her torn clothing, smeared make-up and exaggerated expression create an image poised somewhere between hysteria, horror and theatrical performance.

Darkly cinematic and deliberately unsettling, the image draws upon the visual language of psychological horror and exploitation cinema, transforming madness into a grotesque and ambiguous portrait.
