Winter Witch and Wolf is an image created by Nigel Wingrove in 2024 as part of an ongoing exploration of paganism, witchcraft, and imagined ritual.

A solitary witch moves through a bleak winter forest accompanied by a wolf, her ragged clothing and wild appearance seeming to belong to the frozen landscape around her. Rendered in stark black and white, the image draws upon European folklore and early cinematic representations of witchcraft, creating an atmosphere that is both mysterious and unsettling.
